Finance Manager

• Responsible for the accurate and timely recording of all transactions in the accounting system (currently Microsoft AX Dynamics, SAP migration in planning) in accordance with Belgian GAAP, IFRS standards and Group SNCF rules and procedures
• Controlling – cost accounting – budgeting
• Responsible for the production of monthly reports (P&L accounts, balance sheet, etc.), monthly Management Letter in accordance with Pôle TFMM requirements
• Preparation of supporting financial documentation and presentation for the quarterly steering committees
• Monitoring of internal and specific audits; and handling of relations with group-appointed auditors
• Cash management; relations with banks and financial institutions, cash forecasting, in relation with Pôle TFMM central team
• Handling of tax audits and relations with tax auditors, taks administrations
• Responsible for all taks calculations and fillings
• Monitoring of statutory legal matters (Board Meetings, General Meetings of Shareholders, etc.)
• Supervision of finance information systems and monitoring and subsequent development of Pôle TFMM Sequoia BI tool (based on Oracle solutions)
• Implementation of a new ERP (Pôle TFMM project Opera - S4 Hana Cloud)
• Implementation/monitoring of an internal control system in accordance with legal and group requirements
• Contribution to the assessment of projects/sales contracts from a financial/profitability point of view
• Involvement in the screening of major contracts

You will work closely with the business people and provide legal advice and support in the areas of commercial, corporate and employment law. You will analyse financial reports, check the correctness of journal entries, payroll data, debtor and creditor ledgers and tax returns to ensure we can guarantee the correct processing of data. You will solve complex accountancy issues and supervise regular reporting to ensure that correct accounting can be guaranteed in line with the law.

As Finance Manager in a growing business, you will manage a controlling and accounting team of currently 3 employees and report to the CEO of Railtraxx. In addition you’ll report functionally to the CFO for the subsidiaries of Pôle TFMM in Paris.

• Master degree in business management and/or equal through experience
• 10-15 year’s experience
• Fluent in Dutch and English, knowledge of French +
• People Management (motivation, communication, development, coaching, performance mgt…)
